All Fjord horses have to be microchipped in order to be registered in Canada.

Microchips must be implanted by a veterinarian. Ensure that your veterinarian scans the chip after implantation to verify its presence. Instructions for implanting microchips will be enclosed with the microchips.

As of January 2010, for your convenience, microchips are now ordered through the CLRC. To order microchips, please make cheque payable to the CLRC and mail your payment to them along with the Order Form.
